Back Story

Terri completed a Bachelor of Design (Visual Communication) in Sydney, a degree that explores diverse forms of visual communication across design, culture and media – creating conceptual design using visual stimuli. Graphics, illustration, animation and photography became her main focus.

After working as a graphic designer, Terri returned to her love of drawing in the television animation industry at the Walt Disney Television Animation Studio, Sydney and Mickey Duck Productions, Melbourne.

Moving back to the South Coast and completing a Graduate Diploma in Primary Teaching, Terri spent 10 years as a classroom teacher with a major focus on the visual arts. Whilst bringing a range of technical skills and experience to her visual arts programming, Terri focused on encouraging fun and individualism in her students' art making.

In her personal time, Terri has executed many visual art projects including musical backdrops, children's books, portraiture and commercial art. Of note was her selection for hanging in the Shirley Hannon National Portraiture prize.

In 2020, Terri returned to her love of creating, making this her primary focus in life after family.
